Paceline Update Day 3
Today we will start at the end and work backwards because one of the most memorable parts of the day was the welcome that the team received from everyone at The Mount Beauty Holiday Centre. Throughout the process of booking the accommodation and organising the meals for a group of 20 hungry riders Sarah’s attitude was always “Can do” and the dinner they produced last night will be one of the highlights of the trip. Sitting in the camp kitchen with a few bottles of red, the team were wowed by both the food and friendliness…it was “absolutely lovely, just top!”
Thank you to everyone at the MBHC…looks like it might become a regular destination!
The great night really capped off what had been a perfect day of riding with lots of easy rollers, stunning weather and wonderful cameraderie. The team stayed together all the way, pausing here and there to cool their feet in the mountain streams and enjoy a bit of a rest.
An “easy” 168.01km …take a look at the route http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/27823874
By last night everyone was massaged, well fed and looking forward to conquering Falls Creek!
